CrossFit is a brand of strengthening and conditioning that combines kettleball, powerlifting, gymnastics, sprinting, weightlifting, rowing, plyometrics and medicine ball training. This brand contends that a person who is healthy should be proficient in 10 different types of physical skills: accuracy, coordination, balance, agility, speed, power, flexibility, strength, stamina, respiratory and cardiovascular endurance. Athletes who are a part of the CrossFit brand row, run, climb rope, jump rope and carry odd types of objects. They move large loads in short distances very frequently.

Greg Glassman, a former high school gymnast, founded the CrossFit brand along with his ex-wife, Lauren Glassman. The CrossFit games have been a competition since 2007 and have classes at gyms that are affiliated. These classes are specially designed for this brand and last between 10 to 20 minutes. A new ‘workout of the day” is created by each affiliate.
